Default Ghial's Staff..

I gotten Ghial's staff with henchmens, after 4 tries, he finally dropped it, and it was just only yesterday that I had gotten it, I didn't really need to solo it. I felt happy.

I need help, please..
I've been soloing xuekao for 3 straight hours now, each run takes 5 min, and he has dropped TWO times... So I started thinking the patch wasnt downloaded, because I never got a message that said a new version of GW is aviable.. And I've been restarting the game four times now, but I still haven't downloaded something.. Do I have to?

Not usually as the drop rates are determined by the server, not the client so you shouldn't need an update.

3 straight hours of soloing one boss........I'm guessing you don't know about anti farm code, which you've dug yourself into a very deep hole of

I suggest farmers learn about farming

Yeah, the thing is: even the heaviest farmer, would come down with more then 2 items on 36 tries, and without no "3 times drop".

Maybe really really bad luck.

I haven't farmed since like 2 months now, and went, with 3 of my heroes, farming 'The Eternal Grove (Explorable)', for, i think 8 bosses.

Now 4 characters did 8 bosses * 5 times = 40 bosses, and I ain't got a [email protected] scroll! Got a Juju once.

I love the fact that there are events in cantha still. Yet I have one huge problem. The green weapons for the first 2 campaigns majorly suck @$$ in comparison to what is in nightfall, the staffs(spelling?) Have major benefits that the previous 2 campaigns do not. I truly wish they would revise this since it makes alot of green elites in both area's POC's.

I see that my spiritual/ghostly ships are aiding those who wishes to farm while my beloved rit is sitting in the tormented world aiding angered spirits
Glad that Cantha is getting some love

I've killed 12 bosses around Eternal Grove in a few runs and nothing apart from materials. The same happened to a fellow guildy yet he killed various bosses 40 times.

I'm not a farmer and I try to break up runs by going to other places for a quest/mission. So it must be extreme bad luck on our part :'(

Today has been awesome for me, made 175k farming Wing's and selling his axe for 8k apiece. With 55 monk spoil victor + henchies then flag out to solo Wing he dropped his axe at least every 3 tries, sometimes he gives 2 or 3 in a row. Each run takes something like 5 mins. To me the odds are roughly 1/2. I tried farming Chkkr but he dropped once in about 8 runs. Sskai is worth only 5k so I only killed him once. Kaineng 1 seems to buy a lot of Wing's, marketplace too but tons of groups are trying to farm it.

If I may offer a suggestion. If going solo stick to MINIMAL party size... And use Heroes rather then henchmen. I suggest a party of 2 or 3 to maximize your green drop probability. that's what worked best for me during the last triple drop weekend. Either that or PUGs, but lets be real. if your farming greens you prob are not a fan of PUGs. I went this morning with some from our alliance and it was pretty good over all. especially down in the lucrative Kurzick south west. All those bosses in one instance. Hummm greens...

As I work on the weekends I don't have much time to do anything. Yet I have logged in for a hour or 2 each day, and the only thing I notice is my Blue drop has increased.

I am in a group of me, my MM hero and my Monk hero, and I get either gold coins or blues from boss', not to mention I keep getting blues from everyone else.

Am I just that unlucky? I have gotten about 4 gold items in my almost 2 years of playing. The only time I have seen a green is in a screenshot here.

Typically I head out with a full team of hench/heroes (to clear the way quickly) and flag all but Koss and a healer out of the way when attacking the boss. My sin doesn't survive long enough on his own. I've avoided over-farming - generally not visiting the same zone more than 5 times (I haven't been going for any specific boss).

So far, I've had several scrolls, a superior Mesmer rune and some double "Putrid Cyst" drops for my trouble.

I agree, Cantha is still my favorite but, I pretty much love all of them. Can't wait for Canthan new Year

This pretty much sums up my experience. I offed Wing about 20 times over the past 2 triple drop weekends and the best drop I've gotten was a purple flame artifact. I've logged maybe a dozen golds in 20 months across 10 characters. I've gotten 8 greens total (including 3 rock breakers and 3 tankyuns pincers (worth ~500g each) and lian's lantern. It doesn't really matter but it sure would be nice to get a few more cool items.

I spent the entire weekend farming, farming, farming and even more farming. Vasburg Armory was all of a sudden crowded with people, it felt good to play with humans again and leave the heroes at home for a while. My thumper looks spiff with Vera and my entire guild has new monk gear (and Jayne hates my guts now). I did a few runs for Sskai, another guy got the sword but too bad, we still had fun. Bottom line: thx a bunch aNet I had a good time .
